OLN: Kaliningrad among the leaders in industrial growth rates in Russia

Press-service of the Government of Kaliningrad region [1]. Federal Statistics Service issued socio-economic data for regions of the Russian Federation in 2007, which showed good standing of Kaliningrad region as compared to other subjects of the federation.

For instance, Industrial Production Index in Kaliningrad region (140.3% in 2007 against 2006) is one of the highest in the country, and is the highest in the North-Western Federal District (NWFD), Karelia being second with 116.8%. The Index in Russia on the whole is 106.3%, in NWFD – 108.6%. Read more in Russian… [2]
