Kaliningrad Regional Economic Development Agency. Trade Council of Iceland in cooperation with the Embassy of Iceland in Moscow is organising a visit to Kaliningrad region of a delegation of businessmen from Iceland headed by the Ambassador of Iceland in Russia, Mr Benedikt Ásgeirsson. The visit is scheduled for April 14-16, 2008.

Among the members of the delegation are Mr. Jón Ásbergsson, Managing Director of the Trade Council of Iceland, CEOs and representatives of Icelandic companies operating in banking and investment field, as well as in sectors related to manufacturing of fish products, rigging and fishery equipment; reequipping and sales of fishing vessels; air carriage and air carriage software.

Programme of the visit includes an insight into investment opportunities Kaliningrad region can offer, its free economic zone, “business-to-business” meetings with Kaliningrad companies.

The visit will be accompanied with a photo exhibition of the Museum of the Herring Age brought to Kaliningrad’s World Ocean Museum from Iceland for the Herrings Day.
