OLN: 1253 people moved into Kaliningrad region under Resettlement Programme

Government of Kaliningrad Region. [1] Speaking at a meeting at the Government of Kaliningrad region Mikhail Plukhin, Minister of Development of Territories and Interaction with Local Autorities of Kaliningrad region presented information on implementation of activities envisaged within the framework of Resettlement Programme aimed at assisting Russians residing abroad to move into Russia.

As of May 4, 2008, 1253 people (575 programme participants and 678 members of their families) moved into the region. Overall, relevant authorities received 4060 applications from Programme candidates, of which 2238 potential resettles and 2701 members of their families have been agreed.
