OLN: White-fish rearing station opened at the Curonian spit

Based on materials by REGNUM-Baltika [1]. Today, April 19 an experimental white-fish rearing plant has been launched at Lesnoe settlement on the Curonian spit. Head of the Federal Agency for Fishing, Mr. Andrey Krainiy, attended the official opening.

Annual capacity of the plant – Federal State Institution “Zapbaltryba” – is 150 thousand white-fish, which will subsequently be released into the Curonian bay. With 14 people on staff, the plant will also serve as a place for internship by students of Kaliningrad State Technical University. Read more in Russian… [2]
