Brick factory to be commissioned in Kranoznamensk by the end of 2009

www.investinkaliningrad.ru [1]. OOO “Pyaty Element” is finalising the construction of a cutting-edge brick factory with annual production capacity of 50 mn bricks. With 35 mn EUR of investment the project will create 100 new jobs. Production is scheduled to be launched in December, 2009.

The presence of this factory on the territory of Krasnoznamensk gives the municipality extra opportunities for development. Governor of the Kaliningrad region, Georgy Boos, ordered to calculate the costs of construction of a modern sports and health centre in Kransoznamensk. The municipality may count on 30 mn roubles from the regional budget, while use of locally-manufactured bricks will allow to minimise the costs of this project.
