Latvia will close its consulate in Kaliningrad

Based on materials by Rugrad.eu [1]. Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have to close some of its consulates abroad. Consulates in Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Pskov will be among the first in the list. Overall, 4-10 consulates will be closed.

The move is caused by crisis related budget spending cuts in Latvia.

Earlier this year Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the decision to close its Consulate in Kaliningrad for the same reasons.
