This time, apart from permanent participants from Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Germany and UAE presentations of tourism opportunities were made by representatives of Israel, Malta and Sweden. Overall, the WORKSHOP was attended by representatives of 59 organisations – tour-operators, hoteliers, national tourism offices and tourism information centres.
In his greeting words to forum participants Mikhail Karapysh, Minister of Industry of the Kaliningrad region reminded that development of tourism industry remains one of the strategic objectives for the region. He also pointed out that the problems concerning the regional air-carrier KD-Avia will be resolved.
Note: Over 80 contracts were signed by participants of the previous WORKSHOP.
The delegation from Sweden discussed the possibility of ferry and charter connections between Kaliningrad and Sweden.
