Kaliningrad-based "Concordia" will supply the Russian division of McDonald's

Accroding to FoodsBusinessDaily.com Miratorg Company, one of largest Russian meat importers and manufacturers has entered into a supply agreement with the Russian division of McDonald's. According to Vice-President of Miratorg, Vladimir Maslov the contract is signed for three years, with the possibility of further extension.

All the meat will be produced at the "Concordia» factory in Kaliningrad, which was launched in late 2008 and designed to produce 58,000 tons of semifinished meat.

"We already sell beef burgers and chicken nuggets to McDonald's and planning to start the supplies of pork. In the future we hope to supply a full range of meat and even fish to the U.S. company ", - said Mr. Maslov.

He also added that the cost of the contract will exceed $80 million annually, while according to preliminary estimates’ nearly 30% of the "Concordia" total production will be supplied to McDonald's.
