Danish investors account for 13,4% of foreign investments in the Kaliningrad region

Cumulative Danish capital investments in the Kaliningrad region at the beginning of 2010 reached $ 86 million or 13.4% of the total accumulated investments ($ 643.1 million). According to the press service of the Regional Ministry of Economy, in 2008, Danish investors have invested in the development of Kaliningrad companies $ 41.3 million or 11% of total attracted foreign investments for the year, becoming the region's third largest investor (with Cyprus excluded from the analysis).

U.S. companies accounted for $ 76.7 million (20%) and Polish companies - $ 72.18 million (19%) of investments in 2008.

In 2009, Danish investors have invested $ 16.6 million, or 15% of the total volume of attracted foreign investments for the year, thus becoming the leading investor. Swiss investors accounted for $ 8.2 million (7%), Lithuanian - $ 7.2 million (6%) and Polish - $ 6.1 million – (5%). At present, 24 companies with the participation of the Danish capital operate in the Kaliningrad region, including the Baltic Container Gate, "Sodruzhestvo-Soya","DSV Transport", "BaltInvest ","Estate" and "Ecotech".
