The expected volume of capital investments of large and medium-sized businesses in the Kaliningrad region in 2010 will amount to 38.7 billion rubles which is a 22,2% increase on the 2009 level, when this indicator fell by 37.5 %. These figures were announced by the Minister of Economy of the Kaliningrad region, Alexandra Smirnova during a meeting of the regional government. According to the Ministry of Economy's forecast the structure of capital investments in 2010 will be as follows: 5.9 billion rubles - budgetary funds, 21.53 billion rubles - borrowed funds and 11.25 billion rubles – companies' own funds. The projected volume of capital investments of large and medium-sized organizations for 2011 is 47.79 billion rubles (+23,45% of the forecasted 2010 level). The growth will largely be due to a nearly triple increase in budgetary investment.
